Manage patient arrivals

This tutorial will walk you through how to use Scribo to manage a patient’s arrival at your clinic. Please note that you can only perform certain actions if you have been granted the respective user permission(s).

Walk-in patients

When a patient visits your clinic, you can add the patient to a queue with the following few simple steps:

  1. Under the 🏠 Home tab, click Make Appointment on the top right corner, and a pop-up window will appear.

  1. Select the doctor in which the patient would like to visit. If the patient has no preference, you can randomly select one as this can be changed later.

  2. Is the patient an existing patient?

  • If the patient is an existing case, select Existing Patient.
  • Search and select the patient.
  • Check the information of the patient.
  • Select the phase which the patient will enter next and click Confirm.

Existing patient appointment

  • If the patient is a new case, select New Patient.
  • Enter the information to create a new patient record.
  • Select the phase which the patient will enter next and click Confirm.

  1. A new consultation session should be added to the bottom of the queue of the selected phase.

Patient with reservation

If the patient has reserved in advance, you can add the patient to a queue as follows:

  1. Under the 🏠 Home tab, click Today's Appointment on the top left corner, and a pop-up should appear to show all the reservations for today.

  2. Find the patient, select the phase which the patient will enter next and click the arrow icon.

  1. Before adding the patient to the next phase, you can confirm the patient information as displayed as needed.

  1. If the patient is a new case, you will be prompted to enter the basic information. Afterwards, click Confirm to move the patient to the next phase.

  1. A new patient card should be added to the bottom of the queue of the selected phase.

Tag labels to consultation sessions

Upon creating a walk-in or reserved session for the patient’s visit, you may create labels and apply them to remark or characterise the context of the event or the patient as visual reminders throughout the patient’s visit if necessary.

  1. Click the button, and a small window will pop up.

  1. Click Create a new label to set up a new label.

  2. Once a new label is set, select its tickbox to apply the label to the session, and it should appear across the session in different interfaces.

  1. To remove the labels, unselect the respective tickboxes.
